Best router right now???

I have been using my VGA connection from my desktop HP to my Sony Bravia for about 3 months now. Although when I tried to hook it up to yesterday my TV said "Unsupported Signal". I have tried every single resolution and have made sure it was at 60hz, but nothing is working. It will flash on for a second then give me the error message. Also, It works on my other computer on a variety of different settings. I feel it may have something to do with the computer monitor. It is an HP 2009 Series Wide LCD Monitor with1600x900 recommended resolution. I feel the driver that is installed with the monitor is not letting me use another output source. Anyone have any ideas?
